HOW GOOD IS THE SETTING?

Our nursery is inspected by the Office for Standards in Education; we have to meet standards as determined by government:

“Staff offer a caring and nurturing learning environment. Children settle well and establish positive friendships with other children. They feel safe and comfortable at the nursery. Children’s behavior is good.

Staff know how children learn and develop through play. Children make good progress in relation to their individual starting points and capabilities. Staff prepare children well for the next stages in their learning or for starting school.

Children thoroughly enjoy a good range of activities and resources to help them learn about their identity and other people and their cultures. They take an active part in festivals and enjoy songs and music from different countries.

Relationships with parents are strong. Staff keep parents well informed about their children’s progress and well-being. They involve parents in the planning of their children’s learning

Managers support staff well. They monitor and evaluate the quality of the provision effectively to help ensure that children learn well and reach their potential.”
